On March 11, 2015, Attorney Elizabeth Allen gave a presentation on planning for individuals with special needs to the Buddy Baseball organization. Buddy Baseball is a noncompetitive recreational baseball league boys and girls with special needs located in Tampa, Florida. The presentation was held at the Omar K. Lightfoot Recreation Center in Temple Terrace. The presentation covered the topics of governmental programs (SSI, SSDI, Medicare and Medicaid), the use of special needs trusts, the Affordable Care Act, and the recently passed federal legislation – A Better Life Experience (ABLE Act) of 2014.
