On March 27, 2017, Attorney Elizabeth Allen gave a presentation on planning for individuals with special needs to the Buddy Baseball organization. Buddy Baseball is a noncompetitive, recreational baseball league for boys and girls with special needs located in Tampa, Florida. The presentation was held at the Omar K. Lightfoot Recreation Center in Temple Terrace. Ms. Allen covered the topics of Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability Income, Disabled Adult Child benefits, Medicare and Medicaid and their impact on individuals with special needs.  She also discussed planning options including the use of special needs trusts, the Affordable Care Act, ABLE accounts and guardian advocate.
