Gary A. Gibbons is a life-long Tampa resident and a fourth-generation attorney. The Gibbons family has practiced law in Tampa since 1886, and Gary is proud to carry on that tradition.
Mr. Gibbons earned his Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida in 1976, and was awarded his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1979. He practiced law in Tampa for five years before joining Gibbons Neuman as a shareholder in 1984. He has received the distinctive “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer rating obtainable for practicing attorneys.
Having practiced for more than 35 years, Mr. Gibbons has experience in many areas of the law including real estate, commercial litigation, corporate and business law, probate, and estate planning. In recent years, he has concentrated his practice in real estate-related matters, business law and estate planning. He regularly represents clients in real estate litigation, real estate closings, commercial loan transactions and issues title insurance policies. He also enjoys representing owners of small businesses, and preparing wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
Mr. Gibbons is presently serving as President of the law firm, and is a Board Member and legal advisor to Community Stepping Stones, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission involves teaching science, math and life skills to at-risk youth through an Arts-based curriculum. He also serves on the Development Committee of WMNF 88.5FM Community Radio, and is active with the Sierra Club. When not solving problems for his clients, he enjoys attending Gator football games, and engaging in outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, stand-up paddle boarding, and nature photography.
