Kirk M. Gibbons graduated from Vanderbilt University, earning a B.A. in Political Science in 1974. He received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1977, has vast trial experience, and during the past 30 years has tried dozens of cases.
Among the types of cases he has litigated are personal injury and wrongful death claims, as well as life, health, disability and casualty insurance claims. He is an expert in ERISA litigation involving life, disability and health coverage issues.
Mr. Gibbons has earned an “AV” rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh and Fifth Circuits, and all Federal District Courts in the State of Florida.
A founding shareholder of Gibbons Neuman, he served as the firm’s president from its inception until he retired from active practice in 2013. Since retirement, Mr. Gibbons has served as a special advisor to the firm and consults with other members of the Firm on issues where his expertise is a value-added benefit to our clients. When not advising on legal matters, he enjoys travel, hiking and fishing.
