Ms. O’Keeffe is an attorney in Tampa, Florida with the law firm of Gibbons, Neuman, Bello, Segall, Allen & Halloran, P.A. She handles a broad range of Tampa commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and real estate matters with particular focus on disputes involving corporations, contracts, foreclosures, title insurance, collections, construction, premises liability and assignment for the benefit of creditors. Ms. O’Keeffe is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida and she received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University, College of Business, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
In 2008, Ms. O’Keeffe authored an article for the Tampa Bay Business Journal entitled “An Alternative To Bankruptcy: Assignment For The Benefit Of Creditors.” Ms. O’Keeffe also lectured on the subject of ethics and the unlicensed practice of law for a 2008 educational seminar for insurance adjusters and the 2010 Florida Windstorm Conference. In 2006, Ms. O’Keeffe co-authored a chapter for Creditors’ and Debtors’ Practice in Florida entitled “Discovery in Aid of Execution.”
Ms. O’Keeffe was appointed to and serves as a member of the Professional Ethics Committee for the Florida Bar and the Leadership Institute for the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Ms. O’Keeffe is a member of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers and the Ferguson White Inn of Court. In addition, Ms. O’Keeffe is active in the Tampa Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. In 2004, Ms. O’Keeffe was awarded the Hillsborough County Bar Association “Have a Heart” Award for pro bono service and she continues to provide pro bono services for Bay Area Legal Services. In 2007, Ms. O’Keeffe served as a grant reviewer for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
