D. Steven Burwell attended undergraduate school at Stetson University, where he earned his B.A. in 1975. He was awarded his M.S. in 1978 and his J.D. in 1981 from Florida State University. After his graduation from law school, Mr. Burwell served as a staff attorney in the Florida Legislature for five years.
In 1987, Mr. Burwell became an assistant regional counsel for Security Union Title Insurance Company handling title insurance underwriting and title insurance claims. He continued his work in the title insurance industry as Florida Claims Counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company from 1990-1995, before joining Gibbons, Neuman, Bello, Segall, Allen & Halloran, P.A. in 1996.
Mr. Burwell practices in the real estate department of Gibbons, Neuman, Bello, Segall, Allen & Halloran, P.A. focusing his attention on solving title problems affecting Tampa real estate.
